Earth Day

We are all for reducing carbon foot printing as long as we are not the ones doing so. Being so used to the good things in life, we are not ready to compromise on our needs or habits though we go blue in face, propogating save the earth theories. Honestly, how many of us choose not to use air conditioning when it is somewhat uncomfortably hot? And isn't it easy to switch on all the lights so that we have an outwardly cheerful home or drive when in fact we could walk to the nearby destination. Earth, our unique planet is probably just a fashionable topic that we resort to, to make a favorable impression. Let us stop being blind and make our planet really proud of us.

Election Mania

We are promised the moon, the sun with few stars thrown in for free. With folded hands and a humble demeanor, the so called public servants beg from door to door for that precious vote in return for so many false promises. We have all learnt to enjoy our two minutes of glory, and why not? After all we will be spending rest of the time looking like asses, behaving like fools with a herd mentality, pushed beyond control to waste the precious vote in voting without thinking. Let us think this time.

what happens when.....

One hears people talking of the economic meltdown nowadays, but do we really understand the repercussions? A respectable, hard working person, suddenly left without a job tries to deceive himself and others that he is still employed by hiding behind a crumbling facade of self confidence. Pity, since most of us also have our own facades that we keep building or repairing all the time and we do not have time or inclination to see the lost potential. If we did, then maybe, there won't be an economic meltdown.
